Christoforos Christoforou is a senior Public Health and Health & Safety Consultant with more than 35 years of international experience across hotel management, food and beverage operations, hospital public health quality assurance, and legislative compliance. His career spans leadership roles in hotel and cruise organizations throughout Europe, the United States, Greece, and Cyprus.
He has served as a Scientific Collaborator at the University of Thessaly (Greece), Department of Public Health and Microbiology, and has contributed to major public health initiatives, including the EU Ship Sanitation Project funded by the European Union Directorate-General for Health and Consumers (DG SANCO).

Since 2008, the HRM is introduced to more than 70 establishments in Cyprus and have been widely adopted by the Cyprus Government as the Hospital Health and Safety system. The system is based on international standards of ISO 45001:2018 (OHSA) and the JCI Hospital Accreditation Scheme, as well as the CHKS (UK Hospital Accreditation Scheme). The system includes all clinical parameters of various risks in the area of biological threats such as blood stream diseases, water safety for legionnaire’s disease, chemical risk management, stress at work, violence at work, etc…
